We went to pack meeting tonight and Racer got his Cyberchip, his Thomas S Monson award, and was recognized for going to the Jamboral. It got him fired up to start working on his Bear. I'll be glad in a way when he's done with Harry Potter although I've been thrilled that he's actually reading for enjoyment.
Religion - We played Memory with the General Authorities today. We usually read the facts with them, but we were a bit pressed for time. Again. So hopefully we will find the time tomorrow to read the facts while we play Memory. We really need to start getting up in the morning and making sure that we actually eat breakfast in the morning. Schedules, schedules.
Co-op - We had a great time at co-op again. In our Nursery class, we played with our Little People toys, learned about the letter E, and talked about the weather. Then we combined with Turtle's class for dancing with a DVD. Racer and Chicklette had a great time with their friends and they love their teachers. We also listened to our Latin CD on the way to co-op. I should have had the kids bring along their math to work on as well, but I forgot.

Physics - Turtle and Chicklette started on the K'Nex Gears set. They chose a project and pulled out the pieces that we needed and Racer finished it up. I would have preferred the kids to work together, but Racer was having trouble working with others today. While Turtle and Chicklette were working, Racer did his piano practice. When Racer finished, I had Chicklette move to the piano. It worked out, but somehow I've got to get Racer to work with people and value their contributions. He's so impatient with his brothers and sister sometimes, but I don't think he's that way with his friends. At least I don't hear any reports from the people he's in clubs with or co-op or Scouts.
Math - Chicklette did her Xtramath while Racer did his Xtramath and fractions assignment. He got every one right. It's been nice to have this week with Chicklette also just doing enrichment games. She's enjoyed it and has liked doing her math. Next week we'll dive back into our math book and she should be feeling more confident. Maybe she'll even go faster than she used to. I also helped Chicklette with her Latin while I was changing a baby.
Writing with Ease - While Chicklette and I did her Writing with Ease assignment, Racer read the beginning of his assignment. Chicklette listened to part of the Peter Rabbit story and then answered some comprehension questions about it. Then she had to copy her narration which nearly broke her heart. Racer had to do two assignments. I'm not sure how that happened. He read about the Mongols and answered some comprehension questions about them, then narrated to me the main point of the passage. Then we had a long dictation to do. He did okay on it, about as well as I expected.
We didn't get to our history today, but we should be able to do it all tomorrow. I am going to try a new recipe for pizza dough that requires a super long rise so I should be able to shape the pizza right after we come home from ballet. I'm taking Chicklette and her friend tomorrow. Just kidding about the pizza, DH has a coupon he wants to use so he's going to bring one home for us!
