If you read my latest homemaking post, you can see why school only kinda, sorta happened today. Racer was able to finish most of his assignments because he was fairly caught up and he can work more independently than Chicklette. Chicklette was highly distractible today and didn't get as much done as I would have liked. I sent all the kids outside to pick tomatoes while I got a start on the pears. They had a grand old time burrowing into our tomato jungle but I have to say there were very few tomatoes that came out of there in two whole hours. Note to self, they need a lot more hands-on management.
Religion - We did do our scripture memorization and Chicklette caught up on most of her assignments in Religion. Racer did his notebook page on the Angel Moroni and the Gold Plates.
Math - Chicklette had to finish her two pages of math from yesterday. I think she finished them. I know she finished at least one page and had a good start on the other page. Racer did the pre-test from Study Island in math. I thought he would do a little bit better, but he was pretty close to where I thought he would be. He also did his Xtramath and some Khan Academy.
Science - Racer and I did the quiz for science while Chicklette was still "trying to do her math." He missed one on the water unit quiz. He worked on the hovercraft project some more. We tried different ways to get air into the hovercraft including using a hair dryer and experimenting with how large the air opening could be.

I think lunch happened; I know the Bubbers had lunch. Racer mowed the front lawn. He did his Latin assignment, which Chicklette did not get to.
On the way to Chicklette's ballet, we listened to the Prima Latina CD to review our vocabulary and other lesson rules. While Chicklette had her ballet class, Racer and I did his grammar and Writing with Ease. Grammar consisted of beginning to memorize a poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay. I am really going to try to work harder at the poem memorization this year.
So, Racer got pretty much everything done but history. Chicklette is behind where I would like her to be. I could do it with her tomorrow (I don't think that will be popular) or catch up another day or stay a bit behind where I would like to be. I
