We used today to mostly get caught up on history. As I said yesterday we had a pretty stripped down week this week.
Religion - We watched a video entitled, "The First Miracle in the Church." The kids summarized it and I think Chicklette repeated it back almost verbatim.
Math - Chicklette was working on her practice page from yesterday. She still didn't finish it so we will carry that over to next week. Racer did his Xtramath and some Study Island.
History - We hadn't done any history this week so we tried to do a lot today. We finished up on Rhode Island and Pennsylvania and played our review game. We reviewed two songs that we are learning to learn all the states. We also started on the state of Vermont. Vermont literally means Green Mountain in French. We listened to the sound of the Hermit Thrush which is the state bird of Rhode Island. We also started reading If You Were There When They Signed the Constitution.
Knights of Freedom - Racer had Knights of Freedom today. It's basically a book club for boys that focuses on famous or worthy men in history. He had a pretty good time and Chicklette got to check out the Girls Club that happens at the same time. Knights of Freedom are talking about Henry Ford this month so they got to try out assembly line cookie making and some creative thinking. Girls Club made frosting and frosted cupcakes.
Ballet - Chicklette had her ballet class again today and they learned more about fifth position. They practiced their plies and tendus from fifth position.
