What a difference a day makes! We are supposed to have more snow come this evening and tomorrow. I hope it doesn't interfere with T.A.'s travel plans tomorrow. We have a very kind neighbor down the street who let us borrow his snowblower. What Racer had kind of been working on all day was blown away in 15 minutes.
Somehow Racer finished his chores, piano, and schoolwork by about 11:30 today. I'm still not sure how that happened, but I'm glad it did. Granted, we still have Road Trip USA but we're trying to allow Chicklette to get caught up on her work. Somehow it takes her a lot longer to write a sentence and to finish the basics. She gets distracted a lot more than Racer does, plus she's still getting her hands around handwriting. I had Racer and Chicklette do as much independent work as they could while the babies were awake this morning so Racer and Chicklette finished their Xtramath. Xtramath works pretty well on our bigger tablet. Racer was also able to do Khan Academy and his piano. Chicklette did her piano also. Racer was able to finish his Latin by himself as well. I hope to have Racer do some Scout stuff or Faith in God requirements.
Religion - We discussed how Jesus comforts us. I had an insight today also. The story of the storm on the Sea of Galilee is in Mark 4, and Jesus rebukes the disciples for their lack of faith. I realized today that we can, and should, have faith that Jesus will comfort, help, and guide us as well. His rebuke to his disciples can be addressed to us today. "And he said unto them, Why are ye so afearful? how is it that ye have no bfaith?" Don't you trust that I will be there for you and I will not let you sink?
Literature - Racer aced his spelling test. I just hope it carries over to his regular writing. The reason we switched to All About Spelling is because his other spelling program wasn't carrying over to the rest of his writing.

Physics - As promised, we tried out our egg drops today. Both of the kids were successful at cradling their egg so it didn't break.
Spelling - We did both the kids' spelling tests. As I said, Racer aced his. Chicklette missed a few because of letter reversals and being unable to read her handwriting. So we will keep those words for next week and then try them again.
Grammar - Racer's lesson was a short one about the four types of sentences - statements, commands, questions, and exclamations. I had Racer do Chicklette's because I was starting a load of diapers and brewing up Chicklette's cough syrup. He read her her lesson about pronouns. I like that a lot of her lesson topics are correlating between Latin and grammar. It's good to have reviews.
Well, the Bubbers are demanding some attention now so I will publish this to the universe.
