It is the odds for the general population to conceive twins again after having spontaneous identical twins in the past. So, why am I bringing this up? Well, we beat the odds! We are having twins again, due in April. This time they are fraternal girl/boy twins.
When I heard at 12 weeks that there were two, I just laughed. I had had the feeling that there were two because I had actually been sick this pregnancy and sooo tired. Not to mention, I was in maternity clothes by about 10 weeks. I remember vividly the feelings of being overwhelmed last time I heard there were twins. I wasn't sure I could handle it. This time, I just thought, 'I know I can handle it because I did last time. And we still have the cribs up and two high chairs. We can do it again.'
I was surprised they were fraternal however. I kind of expected identicals again. Anyways, we are off on the route of extra ultrasounds, extra bigness, and lots of non stress tests. I'm glad I've already done it once before so I know more of what to expect.
